They're listening to feedback and ranking the requests and bugs. But right now they are looking to make a 100% stable release, and they're not there yet. I can't speak for Microsoft or how their teams are organized. Features will trickle in as resources provide. I know a lot of people fantasize that you just add a toggle and "wire it in" and it just works. Then there is a lot of regression testing that goes into it. There is a lot of work that goes into adding customizations. You can't just add a switch and have an update. That's not really how software development works. I've even gone as far as to add the shortcuts to my start menu through a bit of trickery: bat files, you can setup the shortcut to automatically run as an admin so that you don't have to do so manually. bat, you'll have to run that file as an admin. You have to run those commands with admin privileges, so if you save the commands as a simple. To disable the service: sc config "TabletInputService" start= disabledĪnd similarly, to re-enable the service: sc config "TabletInputService" start= auto There might be some way to speed things up by making use of some magic shortcut command, but I don't know of any command to do that yet.Įdit: Found a way to speed the process up with some commands. Sadly, this disables the onscreen keyboard as well as the pen input, so if you ever want to use it again, just reverse the process. Once you find it, right click and go into Properties, and set the startup type to Disabled, and optionally you can stop the process so you don't have to restart for it to go away. Open the "Services" program, and find "Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service" in the list of services. I only hope it wont be hard to find the replacement battery.Sorry for a really late reply, but there is a fix for this. this is the only table with pen function that can run Adobe CS5. I would trade off some CPU power for more powerful graphic. Tho if ASUS intend to relseae 2nd Gen of this product' i will be really interested in seeing them switch to AMD fusion. As a graphic designer (not illustrator), i dont really find the 256 level is a huge issue. I would say 256 level vs 1024 level is a little trade off for convenience and price. I have been using this one for 3 monthes now, I would say, compare to wacom's other drawing table, this one still a little beyond, however, when u compare with Wacom's Cintiq12WX, Slate does provide the same function, without an extra computer. the final price will be abour $50 more than 4G/64G one however, u gain better SSD performace as well as more storage. and upgrade the ram to 4G and intel X310 series 80G. For those who are interested in this tablet.
